Welcome to Spring Quarter 2009

Summer in the Union Activities Fairs Mandatory Meetings

Each summer, over 4,000 new first-year students attend UCLA Orientation.  One significant aspect of the experience is their attendance at the “Summer In The Union” Activities Fair.  The fair provides an opportunity for these new students to become exposed to Ackerman Student Union and to learn about the many extracurricular possibilities on campus.  If your organization is a registered student group or a university affiliated campus department, we encourage you to participate in the fair.  The Activities Fairs serve as an excellent opportunity for many campus organizations to gain exposure and recruit new members.

In order to participate in the Activities Fairs, a representative from your group must attend one of the following mandatory registration meetings:

Tuesday, April 14 at 5:00 pm, Viewpoint Conference Room Ackerman
Thursday, April 16 at 4:00 pm, 2408 Ackerman Union
Wednesday, May 13 at 4:00 pm, 3517 Ackerman Union
Wednesday, May 20 at 5:00pm, 203 Covel Commons

At the registration meeting, you will receive an application for participation, as well as additional information regarding the guidelines governing participation at each Activities Fair.  You must attend a meeting in order to receive an application and participate in the Activities Fairs.  It will be the responsibility of your representative to relay the information and guidelines discussed at the registration meetings to any other group members who plan to participate in the Activities Fairs.
